22 April

The past few days we spent visiting and partying it up with our most favorite people ever.

We celebrated this girls 10th birthday......
 sister love.

Then to walk off all that cake, we rounded them up for a walk down by the shore.
 It was a little wet.

I don't think I could love this crew any more.
 Together again.

 Best Buds.

Then back to the party with a fire.
and games and drinks and more food.
and Movies.  I love that they are all growing up into their own uniqueness.  And that they all cry when it's time to part.  this is it, this is what it's all about.  Until next time! (soon!)

20 April

Right now.......We're loving our Spring Stay cation.  The kids are off school, we are taking some time off work, with pretty much no plans.  Waking up and seeing which way the wind blows.  It's just right for US right now.  Pretty sure they might remember this vacation more than their trip to Disney World.  On the weekend....we started out with some yard work.  Feels great to get things cleaned up even if it's all still brown with a patch of snow on the ground.  Gampie came by as he had a concert in town that night.  He helped this boy move a pile of rocks.  I'm pretty sure that between the counting, the figuring out how to arrange them all and the conversations on the trips back and forth, that the little boy will remember moving a pile of rocks with his Grandpa for his whole life.  Just one of those things.
We decided on going to the concert after a dinner out at the pizza cave.  So glad we did.  the kids loved it and the players were amazing.  They all still have it after all these years.  Just like I remembered it.  A little sad music doesn't get the support it used to, in these parts, though.
Sunday, a family lacrosse game at the big field.

Great to run around to get exercise.  Trevor AND Lucas can beat me in a 40 yard dash too.
Some cookies were made with L for the special cousin visit and to celebrate J's homecoming later in the week.
lots of driveway games, bikes and scooters.
and finding them playing together, unprompted, and getting along great.....priceless.

14 April

The weekend lens.....This boy finished up his basketball season.....Loved it, hustled his little butt off and scored TWO baskets the last game, his PR.
The nice weather is here....FINALLY.  Equipment has made it's way out onto the front lawn.
This girl has been working extra hard on the hula hooping.

There was an exhibition Box Lax tournament this weekend for some of the boys.  We were nervous about the cement floor (the ambulance was only called once that I know of).  Almost didn't let him play, but they all had fun.  The boys ended up getting to the championship and coming in 2nd.  There team is going to play so well together this year.
There is so much planned for these boys this season......They are so lucky to have these coaches.
This girl had her Dance photos oh Sunday.  Love the outfits this year.
Shorts, boots and a winter coat.  There's nothing like April.
We're getting ready to pass out the uniforms.  60 boys, 60 uniforms!
Syrup season is done.  Came out great this year.
First Ice cream of the season, now that Dairy corner has opened up.
Lax in jammies :)  Yep, we're pretty much obsessed.
So, so nice to get outside and BBQ!  Going from snow and cold to summer withing just a few days. That's New England for ya!

hello again!

NEVER in 8 years of blogging have I gone so long without a post!  Life will continue to get away from me from now until the kids leave home I imagine.  We celebrated Easter, never too old for an egg hunt and for egg coloring.  We celebrated Jeff's homecoming.  Oh tears of joy and relief at seeing that family whole again.  We've been cycling through some struggles around here all around.  Lot's of days of bickering soul searching and finding our way, making decisions.  Swimming ending and Lacrosse beginning for the big boy.  J and I are big time volunteering this year with the boys Middle School lax program.  Figuring out e-mail, websites, organizing uniforms and events, Oh the things we do for our kids.  There's nothing else I would rather be doing.  The girl....still a rock star at school.  I think like 80 kids waved bye to her in the hallway the other day.....  inclusion for the win!  The littlest boy is finishing up basketball, swimming and lego robotics.  Their team made an elevator (his idea). built and programmed the whole thing.  J was away for a week, and I came down with the cold from Hell.  Thank god for friends who can drive kids places.  Then there was work.  Phew!  So.....I declared this week national "take care of me" week.  I exercised daily, went to Yoga and finally made it to the hair salon.  I ate and slept well.  Now.........back to those uniforms! (Pics to follow, soon I promise!)
