Summer is here! And seriously almost half way over (Don't blink and you'll miss it , right?). Of course, there is plenty to keep us busy in Vacationland.
On June 10th, our boy graduated from 8th grade complete wirth ceremony and Dance. The outfit was picked out. He was ready. (but were we?)
we all met at the local park for pictures before hand. Beautiful night. What special night for these kids.

I can't wait to see what the next stage brings. NO, I'm not too sad about you growing up. You are an awesome kid and aside from the typical teenage "stuff" you just rock our family values wherever you go. So proud of you boy (and 3 year honor student to boot!) :)
He rode his bike the 5 miles to school on the last week. Super fun time that will happen again fro sure.
He finished up another successful lax season. He got the "mad dodger award" He's so fun to watch. The ups and downs of sports are good preparation for life.
We are so lucky to spend summer days on a boat at the lake with good friends. These kids have literally grown up together (as have we)
They all celebrated the last day of school and we had out 2nd annual bike and pet parade.
These two left for their 3rd annual camping trip up the coast a bit. He looks forward to it all year. Camping is his wheelhouse.
T attended swim camp at a local college. He was super nervous, but ended up loving it by the end of the week. Sleepover camp for the win.
And our girl had a sleepover camp of her own right here, complete with pool time, nails dance parties, and late night giggles. Best.Time.ever
We picked 16 lbs of strawberries right by the ocean breezes.
It was a monster.

Then we started a few rounds of cousins visiting including an all weekend 4th of July Party.

She's beautiful inside and out. Our teenagers are great.
They sure did grow a lot in 6 years.
and of course there was plenty of swimming.
Our seats for the seadogs were in the hot sun, but we managed just fine and enjoyed an awesome fireworks show.
The Highlight was the whole line of cousins swaying back in forth to the music arms around each other. I am so happy they are all growing up together.

This Girls came to visit on the week where T went Fishing with Gampie and J was traveling to Seattle for the new job. She was a huge help and I loved spoiling her with girl time and an amusement park Oh, and She folds laundry like a pro.
While we were waiting for Daddy to get home, T took a lake house weekend with a friend and we hit the waterpark. Milestone day as the kids walked around alone (It's small), and I lounged and read and hit a few slides myself. Daddy was able to join us for the very end. Super fun day.
T had a BLAST on his first trip to Kokadjo (his first trip not being carried anyway). He fished and hiked and played games with Gampie. He caught 7 fish and even tried eating some of the trout (It didn't taste like fish at all!) He also saw some moose, one only a few feet away, the highlight of the trip for sure.
We hit the movies a few times to see this and the new Ice Age.
To Round out last weekend, T and J headed up to Canada for the Long Course state meet (50 meter pool). Trevor ended up with 3 new PRs and a fun five days with his team
We hit the beach and went out to breakfast with friends. It's the summer of doing things different (as in saying "yes" to all kinds of spontaneous plans). The kids are so easy to take out these days and everything is better with friends.
